As part of a legacy of photographers, Adam Watkins has committed his knowledge of commercial photography to a study in Fine Art. Adam graduated Cum-Laude with a BFA in Photography and received his Master’s Degree from the University of Utah. Concurrent with his passion for art making Adam is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Photography at the U of U and lectures at surrounding college campuses. Adam’s work explores the empathic tissue of photographic narrative and gives subtle highlight to man’s noetic vision of himself inside the confines of a “hyperrealistic society”.
In addition to his work in commerce, Adam’s art has been seen in several national Fine Art publications. His images have received numerous jury awards and have been displayed nationally and in local galleries including: PhotoPlace Gallery, The Finch Lane Gallery, The Woodbury Gallery, The Alvin Gittins Gallery, Williams Fine Art Gallery, The Rio Grande Gallery, and The Salt Lake City Photo-Collective.
